Part of Dockside Dental’s unique approach is keeping up with the latest technology so that we can provide the most convenient and efficient care possible. From state-of-the-art scanners to painless dental lasers, the technology we use has completely transformed our approach to dentistry. Discover a few of the instruments that you might end up seeing in action when you schedule an appointment at our dental office.
CEREC® Primescan

Designing beautiful, long-lasting crowns requires taking a high-quality scan of your mouth so that we can be sure that the final result is a perfect fit. CEREC Primescan can quickly scan the inside of your mouth with high precision, allowing it to produce images with incredible accuracy. The better the images are, the easier it is to create a crown that fits perfectly the first time without the need to take an additional scan.

CEREC® Primemill

Quickly and precisely, our team can mill a wide range of restorations in office using a variety of materials, including zirconia, glass ceramics, composites, and hybrid ceramics. Crowns, inlays, and onlays can be designed, refined, and manufactured while you wait. The end result rivals anything produced by an outside lab, all in just a fraction of the time.
CEREC® SpeedFire

Built to integrate smoothly into the CEREC workflow, CEREC® SpeedFire enables us to provide patients with durable zirconia restorations in a single appointment. After designing and milling your restoration, we simply apply CEREC SpeedGlaze spray, and it’s ready to place in as little as 70 minutes.
Soft Tissue Laser

Using just a focused beam of light, we can expertly shape your gum line to give your smile the perfect proportions and symmetry. Compared to traditional scalpels and sutures, this approach is not only more comfortable and more precise, but it also drastically shortens recovery time.
Intraoral Camera

An intraoral camera is a small wand-like device that we can use to examine your mouth from a variety of angles. The pictures taken are displayed on a monitor so that we can check them for signs of decay and gum disease that we might have missed otherwise. This also gives us a chance to give you a view of your own mouth so that you have a clear picture in your head about what is going on with your oral health.
Cone Beam CT Scanner

Regular X-rays do not tell us the full story about your mouth. A cone beam CT scanner will give us far more detail about the nearby bone, nerve paths, and other structures. This instrument takes several pictures of your mouth from multiple angles and combines them into a comprehensive three-dimensional model. We can use this in order to plan ahead for certain procedures (like dental implant placement) and reduce the risk of complications that could arise during the treatment.
